Personal Educational Experiences.

American Assistance is an educational consulting firm located in Bethesda, Maryland, in the United States. Our owner and highly educated consultants collectively have earned multiple degrees from colleges and universities in the United States, China and South Korea. We are a small, tightly-knit group, focused exclusively on you, the client, and your educational goals in the United States.

What We Do.

American Assistance provides educational consulting and related services. Depending on your requirements, we can:

  • Assist young students and their families in applying to come to the U.S. for some or all of high school
  • Assist high school graduates in evaluating and applying to colleges and universities in the U.S.
  • Assist college graduates (and future college graduates) in evaluating and applying to graduate programs in the U.S.
  • Assist scholars and other working professionals in evaluating and applying to American colleges and universities as visiting scholars
  • Assist all ages (minimum age 14) in improving their English by attending any of a number of English language programs or institutes
  • Provide related services to make your transition to the United States easier. Example services include translation (Mandarin and Korean), familiarization with the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, shopping and apartment setup assistance and working to assist you in obtaining various services and necessities like cell phones, driver’s licenses, etc.

  • One of our senior partners is a tenured professor from a Chinese University and an adjunct professor at an American University
  • Several of our consultants are Mandarin or Korean speakers in addition to speaking English
  • Several of our consultants are multi-lingual in languages other than Mandarin, Korean and English, such as French
  • Our company is based in the United States. We have services available to you that companies based outside the US cannot easily or effectively provide. Several of our consultants are native-born Americans, including one who has resided in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area for over 30 years
